Chagford and Great Torrington behind me, I headed to Hartland, on the North Devon coast, for the fourth talk of the tour.  I left behind me some inspiring people and beautiful places, but my pedals kept turning, propelling me northwards towards more.

I had a lovely time in Bovey……

Thanks to everyone who came to see me in Bovey Tracey.  It was a lovely night and so apt that Cathy, the co-ordinator had her ‘leaving do’ too, as she is off for her own low carbon travels on a yacht round the Mediterranean.  Thanks to Isabelle and Albert for putting me up in their beautiful surrounds and to Ali and Caro for cycling up the hills.  Here is a poem I wrote to record my adventures on the first leg of my tour.
